Cannot find how to get the small key from the chimney

After clicking on the mantle of the chimney, click on the inside right part of the chimney.

What do I need to get the key out of the chimney. I only have 3 scrolls and can’t get the key

To get the key, you have to click in the chimney just above the left pile of wood. This key will unlock the book in the library and you will receive the last scrolls.

I am on an iPad and it won’t let me see what the scrolls say. How can I see the code?

On an iPad I don’t know but when you play on a computer, you simply have to pass your mouse on top of the scrolls in the inventory and it tells you the order of the number for the code. The code is 5831.
